From Page to Performance
Designed for the performance-oriented student, this course dives deep into both the practical and theoretical art of acting. Students will actively explore what it takes to bring a character to life, command a stage, and think like a creative artist.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Introduction to Theatre.

The Actor's Toolkit: Intensive study of acting methodologies, vocal production, stage movement, and physical expression.

Performance & Scene Study: Hands-on practice with improvisation, varying acting styles, and in-depth scene work.

Bringing Worlds to Life Behind the Scenes
Theatre isn't just about what happens in the spotlight—it’s about the incredible world built around it. Aligned with the Tennessee State Standards for Theatre Arts, this course is designed for the hands-on makers, designers, and problem-solvers. Students will step off the stage and into the shop to discover the art, science, and safety of backstage production.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Introduction to Theatre.

The Basics of Construction: A practical introduction to scenery fabrication, stagecraft, and the safe use of shop tools.

Forensics
Forensics
This course teaches students the basics of performance events at speech tournaments. Emphasis will be placed upon piece selection, analysis, editing and performance. Students will receive practical exposure through competition at speech tournaments. These will require weekend and out of town commitments.
